Liputan6.com, Jakarta - A series of important dialogues and exchange of views surrounding the topics of democracy and effective governance have been successfully conducted among ASEAN nations delegations during the two days long held Bali Democracy Forum in Nusa Dua Bali, Indonesia.
Indonesia has been praised by participating delegates for its unfailing commitment to facilitate dialogues among countries by continually holding such event on annual basis. The archipelago state is fortunately given another spotlight as it recently bestowed with the privilege of hosting yet another international- scale event called ‘International Conference on the Question of Jerusalem’.

According to the information collected, the dialogue will take place from 13 to 14 of December 2015 at Borobudur hotel Jakarta. Delegations from 24 countries and one international organization have confirmed their presence for the imminent event.
According to the Director General of Multilateralism from the Foreign Ministry Hasan Kleib, the event has its root from the United Nations (UN). A number of vital issues concerning Palestine and its hitherto questioned status will be discussed in the forum.
“The topic surrounding Jerusalem will be the core subject of the discussion throughout the event. As for Palestine, there are five core issues that will be covered. They include the relationship with Jerusalem, border issue, Palestinian refugees, Israel illegal residence and security,” Hasan explained at Nusa Dua Bali on Thursday 11 December 2015.
“The most difficult one to address would be the one involving Jerusalem. Palestine has decided to make East Jerusalem as its capital city but such decision is quite problematic as Israel’s Parliament Knesset had stated decades ago claiming that Jerusalem is the ‘Eternal Capital Israel’,” he continued.
Hasan explained that the sensitivity level of this issue is relatively high because the holy city houses population of three differing religion, Jewish, Islam and Christian.
