Liputan6.com, Jakarta Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop announced earlier today that Dr. Helena Studdert has been appointed to become Australia’s next Consul- General in Bali, Indonesia.
Minister Julie went to outline Helena’s academic and career highlights in the past which include Diploma in Foreign Affairs and Trade from Monash University, Bachelor of Arts Honors from University of New South Wales, PHD of History Major also from University of New South Wales, Ministerial and Executive Liaison Section, Director APEC Task Force, Director Consular Information Section, Counselor at the Australian High Commission in Wellington, Ambassador of Australia to Serbia and most recently seconded as International Adviser to the Australian- Civil Military Centre.

“Dr Studdert will take up her appointment in January 2016. I thank outgoing Consul-General Majell Hind for her contribution to advancing Australia’s interests in Bali since 2014,” Julie Bishop stated through written press release issued earlier today by the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia.
According to Bishop, Bali has been deemed an important location as it plays key role in Indonesia’s tourism sector and millions of Australian come on an annual basis making the Australian Consulate-General in Bali as the third busiest post in facilitating Australian nationals with consular services.
With a surge of Australians coming to Bali on a religious basis, Bishop necessitates the presence of high quality consular and passport assistance for Australian travellers and residents.
Apart from providing consular services relating to passport, the Consulate- General also plays a vitally important role in deepening ties with its Indonesian counterpart in various sectors including education, business, development, cultural connections, and many others.
