Liputan6.com, Jakarta - One interesting fact has just been recently released by Jakarta Police regarding the recent terror attacks in Sarinah. Following the devastating mayhem on Thursday 14 January 2016, police went to probe over the case and efforts range from examining crime scenes to interviewing eyewitnesses at the location.
Officials claim that the perpetrators successfully detonated bombs both inside the coffee shop and outside at the parking lot. Police further explains that they have located enough evidence to suggest that one terrorist had blown himself up inside the coffee shop.

"One terrorist blew himself up inside the coffee shop. We were able to find this notion as true as we checked the location and found the body of the terrorist and we have also interviewed witnesses to serve as further justification to such finding," Jakarta Police Spokesperson Mohammad Iqbal stated on Friday 15 January 2016.
It has been learned by investigating officers that assailant took the time to grab and clamp onto one civilian, almost like hugging in an attempt to blow himself up together with the victim before he actually did carry out his suicide mission.
Eyewitnesses who were interrogated by officers confirm this and the one that was held hostage by the assailant is now still alive and has also been the subject for such investigative procedure.
"We have checked and the witness who was previously held hostage and hugged by the terrorist is still alive now being treated at the hospital. Witness admits that such is true," Iqbal informed.
The witness, who happens to be the victim as well claimed that he managed to escape but still suffers from injuries because he was still in close distance from the assailant when the bomb explodes.
"Victim suffers from abdominal and chest injuries due to close proximity to the assailant," Iqbal continued.
