Liputan6.com, Jakarta Manchester United (MU) mengumumkan laporan keuangan empat bulanan (kuartal) kedua mereka pada Kamis (11/2/2016). Terungkap jika MU terus memetik keuntungan yang besar dan makin kaya meski gagal di Liga Champions.

Laporan menunjukkan jika pendapatan MU naik 26,6 persen menjadi 133,8 juta pounds di kuarter kedua musim ini. Meski hutang naik 6 persen menjadi 322,1 juta pounds.
Pendapatan komersial di kuarter kedua yaitu sebesar 66,1 juta pounds atau naik 42,5 persen dari tahun sebelumnya. Pendapatan dari hak siar juga naik 31,3 persen dan sponsor juga naik jadi 37,4 juta pounds.
"Usaha keras kami dalam membeli pemain baru disokong oleh kekuatan finansial kami dan kerja keras semua orang di klub. Pendapatan klub turut berkontribusi atas target utama kami sukses di lapangan," kata Executive Vice-chairman MU, Ed Woodward seperti dikutip The Guardian.
Nah, ada 70 sponsor seluruh dunia yang bikin MU tetap kaya raya seperti sekarang. Tiga diantaranya berasal dari Indonesia yaitu Achilles, Unilever dan Bank Danamon.
Meski tidak disebutkan jumlah dana yang dibayarkan ke MU untuk jadi sponsor, tapi seperti dilansir Mirror, tiga sponsor asal Indonesia ini turut andil bikin MU kaya raya.
Pengaruh sponsor terhadap total kekayaan MU disinyalir tidak main-main. Bagaimana tidak, dibandingkan rival sekota mereka Manchester City yang hanya punya 17 sponsor resmi, Setan Merah jelas unggul segala-galanya.
