Star Wars Berpeluang Boyong Banyak Piala Saturn Awards 2016

Ajang penghargaan Saturn Awards 2016 memberi peluang besar bagi Star Wars: The Force Awakens untuk meraih kemenangan.

Ajang penghargaan Saturn Awards 2016 memberi peluang besar bagi Star Wars: The Force Awakens untuk meraih kemenangan.

Liputan6.com, Los Angeles - Nominasi lengkap ajang Saturn Awards 2016 baru saja diumumkan pada Rabu, 24 Februari 2016 lalu. Daftar nominee di kategori film, memperlihatkan bahwa Star Wars: The Force Awakens berpeluang meraih banyak piala lewat 15 nominasi. Sementara Mad Max: Fury Road dan Crimson Peak sama-sama dihujam sembilan nominasi. 

Dilansir dari Ace Showbiz, Kamis (25/2/2016), beberapa nominasi yang diamankan oleh film ketujuh Star Wars tersebut, antara lain adalah Best Directing untuk J.J. Abrams serta Best Supporting Actress untuk Lupita Nyong'o dan Carrie Fisher.

 

Selain itu, John Boyega dan Adam Driver yang juga tampil di Star Wars: The Force Awakens, berpeluang mendapat piala untuk Best Supporting Actor. Lalu, Daisy Ridley dan Harrison Ford yang juga bermain di film tersebut, masing-masing berpeluang meraih piala untuk Best Actress dan Best Actor.

Jurassic World arahan sutradara Colin Trevorrow mendapat nominasi di tujuh kategori, termasuk Performance by a Young Actor untuk Ty Simpkins. Film sains fiksi, fantasi, dan horor tahun 2015 bersaing ketat di kategori masing-masing. Film superhero Avengers: Age of Ultron dan Ant-Man juga berpeluang mendapatkan banyak piala.

Upacara tahunan Saturn Awards ke-42 akan digelar pada bulan Juni 2016 di Burbank. Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films yang bertindak sebagai penyelenggara, juga akan memberi penghormatan terhadap serial televisi terbaik di acara ini.
