Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Indonesian netizens were shocked when famous young singer Lesti Kejora (23) was reporting her own husband, Rizky Billar (27), for domestic violence last September. The young couple is famous in Indonesia for their romantic relationships.
Rizky Billar repotedly choked and slammed Lesti. Another viral video also showed Billar attempted to throw billiard ball to Lesti, but failed.

The public shock could only be matched when Lesti decided to forgive her husband which led to his release from jail, not even a month after the initial reporting.

The Abuse
Based on the police report, the abuse started when Rizky Billar got emotional after being caught cheating. He got emotional over his wife's request to be sent home to his parents.
This incident occurred at their house in South Jakarta around 02.30 and 10.00 West Indonesian time on Wednesday, 28 September 2022.
"The reported (Billar) tried to push the victim (Lesti) and threw her to the bed, then strangled her neck until she fell to the floor. At another time, the husband tried to pull and threw the victim to the bathroom floor. These were done repeatedly," said the Head of the Public Relations Department of Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Endra Zulpan to the reporters.
Lesti Kejora suffered injuries to her hands and neck in this incident.
This case had been reported and followed up by the South Jakarta Metro Police (Polres Metro Jaksel). Billar was suspected of violating Article 44 of Indonesian Law Number 23 of 2004.
Hope for a Change
Social media were united to support Lesti Kejora and condemned Rizky Billar who was eventually arrested. But the case became anti-climax as Lesti Kejora decided to withdraw her domestic abuse report.
Accompanied by her attorney Sandy Arifin and her father Endang Mulyana at the Polres Metro South Jakarta, she expressed her gratitude to the police for processing her report. However, based on several reasons, Lesti decided to withdraw her report, Friday, 14 October 2022.
The main reason is for the good of their son, Muhammad Leslar Al Fatih. She said that, no matter what, Billar is the father of her son and she already forgave him. She hoped that by this incident, her husband will change to be better.
"Insyaallah, I and my family forgive my husband, and hope he can change. We trust his promise that he will never do it again as it was written into the agreement. He also apologized to my parents and they forgive him," said Lesti.

Father's Decision
After Lesti decided to make peace and withdraw her report, Billar who was originally facing 5 years jail term, was released.
However, Billar still has the status of a suspect and is required to report regularly.
Meanwhile, the contents of the peace agreement that was signed on Thursday, 13 October 2022 in Jakarta, have circulated on social media.
Netizens then discussed the agreement, especially their disappointment with the withdrawal compared to the disclosure that the one who reported this case was not Lesti herself, but her father. Some netizens gave approval to Lesti's father.
"What Kejora's father had done is right," wrote @lulu-mrtsh quoted from the gossip account @insta_julid.
"The father reported and the kid withdrew. Father's sincere love meets with romance. How lucky she is to have his father. Keep healthy, Sir. The days ahead may not be as please as yesterday. The kid is in an unsafe zone," replied @ririegranita.
