Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The CEO of Twitter and Tesla, Elon Musk, is also coming to Bali. Previously, Elon was said to attend the B20 which will be held two days before the G20 Summit starts. However, the Chief Twit will apparently attend the G20 Summit as well.

Elon Musk will come to Bali with his private jet, and the government will welcome him accordingly.

"If using the private plane, that means we will use the general aviation terminal facility. We are preparing it specially," said CEO of Angkasa Pura I, Faik Fahmi, in Jakarta on Monday (7/11/2022).

Angkasa Pura I is one of the three state-owned companies which operate Indonesian airports. The airport in Bali is under the control of Angkasa Pura I.

Faik Fahmi, however, said that he still does not have further details about Elon Musk. He said Elon Musk is part of VVIP group, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is handling the VVIP guests.

Besides Elon Musk, some of the VVIP guests who will come to Bali are Queen Maxima of Netherland, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and also delegations from the Atlantic Council and World Economic Forum.

Earlier this year, President Joko Widodo and the powerful Coordinating Minister Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan approached Elon Musk in his headquarter. They asked Elon to invest in Indonesia. The negotiation failed as Luhut said that Tesla was dictating too much.

Update:

Elon Musk did not come to Indonesia. He attended B20 Summit virtually.

Regional Police of Bali will use 200 electric motorcycles during G20 Summit.

Some of the delegations for G20 Bali are reportedly asking the government to provide bulletproof cars. But the government cannot provide those cars for everyone.

"We advise to those who have them to bring their own," said Setya Utama, Secretary of the Ministry of State Secretariat during press conference on Monday.

Setya said the government may be able to provide the bulletproof cars, but they cannot give any special treatment.

"We can provide but with limited numbers. We have some bulletproof vehicles and we give with first come first serve. So those who ask first will be provided," he said.

Furthermore, Indonesian government already provides over 800 electric cars for the important guests. Top car-makers from East Asian countries are also providing the cars.

"There are 836 electric cars for VVIP guests and delegations supported by Hyundai, Toyota, and Wuling. There are also those from purchase. So the 836 units of electric cars are part of cooperation with our ministry," explained Setya.

Indonesia also prepares electric vehicles which are procured by the military and police. Moreover, there are 454 electric motorcycles and 26 electric buses. The electric buses will be also provided for the journalists.

Setya said some of the delegations will come on November 13. They will be welcomed with the electric cars.

The White House already confirmed that the US President Joe Biden will be in Bali on November 13.
