Liputan6.com, Jakarta - The capital city will celebrate the crowning victory of Indonesian national U-22 football team in SEA Games 2023. The country's football association (PSSI) is going to hold a victory parade on Friday morning (19/5/2023) in Jakarta.
Indonesian footbal team successfully defeated Thailand during the final game in SEA Games, marking the first victory of Indonesia in more than 30 years.

The victory parade in Jakarta will start at 08.00 in the morning. The starting point will be the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) stadion, and the parade will move toward Bundaran HI (Hotel Indonesia Roundabout) via Sudirman street. And then they will return to GBK again.
The Sudirman street is normally very busy for workers in the morning. Many office buildings are located in the area, including foreign embassies.
Executive Committee of PSSI, Arya Sinulingga, said he has received permit from the police. He expects the parade will be done in orderly manners.
The Traffic Director of Jakarta Regional Metro Police, Latif Usman, asks people to avoid the Sudirman and the nearby Thamrin street if they do not have urgency.
Latif said the police will try to arrange the traffics in SCBD, Slipi, Palmerah, and Fatmawati area. All are busy streets for workers in Jakarta.
Arya Sinulingga invites the citizens to stand along the road and witness the parade.
"After the parade is over, we will close it with Friday prayer around Senayan," said Arya.
SEA Games 2023: Medal Table
Vietnam is gaining the top spot in SEA Games 2023. The country got 136 gold medals in total. This is the second time since 2011 that Vietnam is becoming number one.
Previously, Vietnam also reached the number one when it was hosting the game in 2021.
The host this year is on the fourth place. Previously, the hosts of SEA Games often won the first place or the runner-up.
Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam won the games when they hosted in 2011, 2017, 2019, and 2021 respectively. The host Singapore was the runner-up in 2015.
