Liputan6.com, Jakarta Indonesia may no longer fall in the category of one of the biggest oil producers in the world. Despite its demoted status, Indonesia continues to play a role in meetings and discussions relevant to such topic.
One of the many examples is its presence in the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries or OPEC meeting in Austria.
The Head of Public Relation from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Dadan Kusdiana informed that the meeting is held from 3 to 4 June 2015.

Indonesian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Sudirman Said along with the General Director of Oil and Gas, Bumi I Gusti Nyoman Wiratmaja said to have been representing Indonesian for the event.
"They are scheduled to be involved in a meeting later this evening," Dadan informed, Thursday (4/6/2015).
Apart from attending the OPEC meeting, Minister Sudirman also plans to perform a number of bilateral meeting with oil exporting countries such as Iraq, Angola, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.Â
Such bilateral meetings are necessitated especially with Indonesia experiencing fuel shortage and therefore needs to establish further relation with some countries that are rich in oil.
OPEC international seminar will be divided into 5 specific sessions: Global Energy General Outlook, Oil Market Stability, Production Capacity and Investment, Environment and Technology and Panel Discussion where leading figures discuss worldwide economic prospect. (Akp/Ein)
