Liputan6.com, Jakarta For so many times have President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo been encountered with aggravated population who do not seem to like whatever he is doing whether it is good or bad. He is now again faced with recently went viral critics spreading on the internet regarding the photo on his recent visitation to Jambi where he engaged in a conversation with ‘Anak Dalam’ tribe.
The photo has been hotly discussed among nationwide active browsers with many alleging the photo of President Jokowi and the indigenous tribe as largely edited or modified.
Responding to such arguably unethical opinion which has rampantly grown into the minds of many of the population, the Indonesian Police force insisted for all parties who were involved to reconsider such verbal act of violence and show respect instead of generating critics.

“Our internal intelligence which currently handles and analyses media activities have shown the evidence of people disrespecting President Jokowi by attacking him with critics over recent picture of him with the children of Jambi indigenous tribe. I do not agree with such action being done via online social media platform, we ought to prevent this from becoming a habit,” Head of Indonesian Police Public Relations, General Anton Charliyan declared on Monday 2 November 2015.
Anton said that his force currently probes on such allegation which aimed at President Jokowi. The force is now focused on investigating the facts which have been voluntarily abused and reversed the way the population wanted it to be.
“Yes, we are still investigating it, we will officially report the verdicts regarding such allegation,” he said.
Previously, the President’s communication team uploaded a number of images online portraying President Jokowi’s sincere gesture of getting acquainted with the indigenous tribe of Jambi called ‘Anak Dalam’.
The image that was widely talked- about in the social media shows that President Jokowi was engaged in a dialogue with 5 members of Anak Dalam tribe where another picture with similar presentation was also presented but with President Jokowi wearing a totally different attire and with a different landscape for its background.
The first photo shows that they were all wearing full appropriate clothing with a wooden house as the background of the image. Meanwhile, on the second photo they were portrayed topless and with palm oil plantation as the background.
Many people view the pictures as akin to one another and that it has been edited to improve the President’s image in the public eye amidst growing dissatisfaction over other problems which hitherto remain unresolved.
Social Minister, Khofifah Indar Parawansah denied any allegations claiming that the picture was edited. She firmly believes that the images were real.
“It depends on how people see it. I was there to witness it myself that it was really what he was doing and that it was not at all edited or modified to please the general population,” Khofifah told Liputan6.com on Sunday 1 November 2015. (Akp/Ein)
