Liputan6.com, Jakarta Indonesian President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo is currently in Paris to attend the Climate Change Conference (COP21) along with hundreds of other Heads of States. The forum laid the very foundation of United Nations Framework Convention with focus particularly placed on the alarming issue of climate change.
Apart from holding a bilateral dialogue with Netherland’s Prime Minister Mark Rutte on the first day of the conference, President Joko Widodo’s schedule on November 30 2015 also involved a meeting with President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic at Paris’ Parc des Expositions du Bourget, France.
The meeting held between two Heads of States considered as the first one for both parties.

“Thank you for your cooperation in maintaining good relation with us,” President Jokowi said, as has been informed through a written statement by the Presidential Communication team, Ari Dwipayana on Monday 30 November 2015.
President Jokowi hopes that such bilateral talk over relation between the two countries which has been established for more than 60 years ago capable of encouraging furtherance in the economic cooperation. Therefore, two topics such as trade and investment became the primary topics discussed during the meeting.
“We already have a number of Indonesian investors in Serbia,” President Jokowi explained.
Aside from cherishing the already existing relation and current tie, President Jokowi also went to express his hopes for Serbian government to consider expanding opportunities for Indonesian products to prevail in the Serbian market.
It has also been reported that President Nikolic will make a state visit to Indonesia in 2016.
