Grandpa Raped 95-Year-Old Woman in West Java, Both Couldn't Remember The Act

Liputan6.com, Bekasi - A 75-year-old grandpa allegedly raped his old neighbor in Bekasi Regency, West Java. He was caught in act after the woman's niece happened to visit the victim's home.

The victim is a 95-year-old woman.

However, the police face difficulty to question the alleged victim and perpetrator because of their old age and memory problems. Both of them also fell sick.

"As both of them are of advanced age, therefore it's difficult for us to get an explanation," said Police Commissioner Gogo Galesung from Bekasi Metro Resort Police.

The alleged rapist with initial M was caught raping the older woman when the victim's niece randomly wanted to take rice from her home.

The niece, Rimah (55), immediately reported the man to the local police.

Rimah said she just got a hunch to visit her aunt's home to get some dried rice. When she arrived at her home, Rimah was surprised when she saw her family's member was raped by M.

The alleged rapist was surprised and escaped from the location.

Rimah said she could not believe M would do that crime, since the man had been living near the victim for a long time.

"M's home is nearby. Every day he lives alone," said Rimah. She hopes the alleged rapist will be punished accordingly.

Update: Clarifying the act was caught by the victim's niece, previously the eyewitness was mistakenly written as nephew.
