Train Engulfed in Flame After Ramming Into A Truck in Middle Java

The truck was stalled on the train tracks before the accident occurred.

Liputan6.com, Semarang - A train rammed into a truck in Semarang, the capital of Middle Java Province, Tuesday evening (18/7). The truck's weight did not stop the train on its track, and the train only stopped after there was an explosion.

The deadly event was caught on camera and subsequently went viral. The blaze completely engulfed the front side of the train, miraculously everyone survived.

The train was coming from Jakarta and on its way Blitar in East Java

Semarang Police said that there was only one person injured because the person jumped off the train. The accident happened at 08:44 PM, according to the police spokesperson.

Other trains were delayed because of the accident. State news agency, Antara, reported that the train traffic was already back to normal a few hours after the accident.

Middle Java Governor, Ganjar Pranowo, said on his Instagram that the damages in the area would be fixed as soon as possible.

The truck itself was pushed into a river. The truck driver and its co-driver also survived although they escaped from the scene.

The police said the truck was stalled on the tracks. The driver and his fellow already asked for help, but they were unable to move their vehicle on time.
