Liputan6.com, Los Angeles Ajang penghargaan film dengan tema fiksi ilmiah bakal digelar kembali. Bertajuk Saturn Awards 2015, kali ini banyak film-film seru sepanjang 2014 yang didapuk untuk masik ke deretan nominasi. Pengumuman daftar nominatornya sudah diungkap awal pekan ini dan mendaulat Captain America: The Winter Soldier untuk menerima 11 nominasi.
Dilansir dari Ace Showbiz, Rabu (4/3/2015), Captain America: The Winter Soldier berpeluang untuk meraih piala di kategori Best Film Director, Best Film Editing, Best Film Production Design, Best Film Music, dan Best Film Special/Visual Effects. Film ini juga berpeluang memenangkan kategori baru, yaitu Best Comic-to-Film Release.
Tak hanya filmnya, aktor utamanya, Chris Evans pun berpeluang meraih piala Best Actor. Ia bersaing dengan Tom Cruise (Edge of Tomorrow), Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler), Michael Keaton (Birdman), Matthew McConaughey (Interstellar), Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy), dan Dan Stevens (The Guest).
Bintang Captain America: The Winter Soldier lainnya yang masuk ke jajaran nominasi antara lain adalah Samuel L. Jackson dan Anthony Mackie di kategori Best Supporting Actor, serta Scarlett Johansson di jajaran Best Supporting Actress.
Setelah film superhero garapan Marvel Studios itu, Interstellar menyusul kemudian dengan jumlah 10 nominasi. Bahkan, kategori Best Actor turut melibatkan aktor utamanya, Matthew McConaughey. Film tersebut juga meraih nominasi untuk Best Science Fiction Film, Best Actress (Anne Hathaway), Best Supporting Actress (Jessica Chastain), dan Best Film Director (Christopher Nolan).
Nominasi dengan jumlah banyak juga diterima oleh film-film blockbuster lain seperti Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men: Days of Future Past, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, dan Into The Woods.
Tak hanya film, Saturn Awards 2015 juga bakal menunjuk pemenang untuk kategori TV dan Home Entertainment (video rumahan). Variety menyebutkan bahwa terdapat kategori untuk Superhero Adaptation Television Series. Di situ, terdapat serial adaptasi Marvel Comics seperti Agent Carter dan juga Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Mereka bersaing dengan Arrow, Constantine, The Flash, dan Gotham yang aslinya berasal dari DC Comics.
Nominasi untuk Saturn Awards 2015 sendiri, diumumkan selama siaran langsung dari studio Stream.tv di Hollywood pada 3 April 2015 lalu. Pemenang dalam kategori film dan TV, semuanya akan diumumkan pada 25 Juni 2015.
