A Space for the Unbound Masuk Nominasi Games for Impact di The Game Awards 2023

Liputan6.com, Jakarta - Jelang akhir tahun 2023, salah satu ajang penghargaan tahunan untuk industri video game dunia, The Game Awards, telah mengumumkan daftar nominasi mereka.

Adapun, The Game Awards 2023 akan digelar pada 7 Desember 2023 waktu setempat di Peacock Theater, Los Angeles, Amerika Serikat.

Tahun ini, salah satu game Indonesia yang banyak diperbincangkan tahun ini, A Space for the Unbound, masuk sebagai salah satu nominasi dalam salah satu kategori penghargaan The Game Awards.

Game yang digarap oleh Mojiken Studio dan dirilis oleh Toge Productions dan Chorus Worldwide ini, berhasil masuk sebagai salah satu nominasi untuk kategori "Games for Impact.

Mengutip keterangan di situs resminya, Selasa (14/11/2023), kategori "Games for Impact" dimaksudkan "Untuk permainan yang menggugah pikiran dengan makna atau pesan pro-sosial."

Di kategori itu, A Space for the Unbound pun harus bersaing dengan judul-judul lain seperti Chants of Sennaar, Goodbye Volcano High, Tchia, Terra Nil, dan Venba.

Gamer pun dapat memberikan suaranya untuk mendukung A Space for the Unbound di The Game Awards 2023 melalui voting di melalui situs thegameawards.com

Selain itu, The Game Awards 2023 juga akan memilih Game of the Year, di mana beberapa judul populer akan bersaing.

Alan Wake 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Resident Evil 4, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, dan The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, adalah game-game yang masuk nominasi Game of the Year.

Tentang A Space for the Unbound

A Space for the Unbound (Steam/Toge Productions/Mojiken Studios)

A Space for the Unbound sendiri adalah game petualangan slice-of-life side-scrolling, dengan latar pedesaan Indonesia di tahun 90-an.

"Pengalaman tumbuh bersama budaya Indonesia dapat dirasakan lewat bercengkrama dengan penduduk kota yang khas," tulis deskripsi di Steam soal game ini.

Kisahnya sendiri bercerita tentang dua sejoli bernama Atma dan Raya. Atma adalah siswa SMA biasa, sementara Raya memiliki kekuatan yang misterius. Di tengah hari-hari mereka, kejadian-kejadian aneh yang di luar nalar terjadi di sekitar mereka.

Atma pun ingin menyelesaikan berbagai masalah di kota dan mencari tahu penyebabnya, sementara Raya, ingin tetap menghabiskan waktu bersama Atma.

Di game ini, Atma pun harus menyelesaikan masalah-masalah itu sebelum terlambat, sembari tetap berusaha menghabiskan waktunya bersama Raya.

Di game ini, pemain dituntut untuk menyelidiki berbagai sudut kota, menyelesaikan teka-teki yang ada, serta mengumpulkan berbagai informasi yang membantunya untuk mengungkap apa yang terjadi di balik misteri Loka City.

A Space for the Unbound sudah rilis di PC melalui Steam, Epic Games Store, dan GOG. Sementara di konsol, game ini rilis di PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, dan Xbox Series.
